Customized cast steel parts: The structural design of cast steel parts should not only meet the requirements of the machine equipment itself and the requirements of mechanical processing technology, but also meet the requirements of casting technology. The structural design of cast steel parts should pay attention to the following points:
1、 To facilitate the manufacturing of models, core boxes, and shapes:
1. The appearance of cast steel parts should strive for simplicity to facilitate mold removal, and the casting parting surface should be as flat as possible with the minimum number;
2. The inner cavity of cast steel parts should strive to avoid or minimize the use of cores during casting. When cores are used, they should be easy to support, fix, and exhaust sand. If necessary, sufficient process holes should be provided;
3. For the inner and outer sides of cast steel parts and reinforced ribs, a certain structural slope should be set in the direction of mold lifting;
4. The convex part on the cast steel part should not differ too much from the casting body. It is best to take several convex parts that are close to each other at the same height and on the same surface, and it is best to connect them into a whole convex part.
2、 To reduce the tendency to produce casting defects:
1. The wall thickness of cast steel parts should strive for uniformity to prevent shrinkage and hot cracking. When it is necessary to ensure sequential solidification conditions, the wall thickness should be varied in one direction as much as possible. When it is necessary to ensure simultaneous solidification conditions, the wall thickness of equal cross-section should be made as much as possible;
2. The connection between the walls of cast steel parts should strictly prevent sharp corners and metal accumulation. The transition between thick and thin walls should be gradual, and sudden changes should be strictly prevented to avoid hot spots and stress concentration, which can lead to hot cracking, shrinkage, etc;
3. The local thick section of cast steel parts should adopt excavation or casting hole structure as much as possible, and be appropriately reinforced with reinforcing ribs;
4. The casting holes on the flat wall of steel castings should be reinforced with convex edges to reduce wall thickness;
5. The structure of cast steel parts should be designed to allow for unobstructed shrinkage during cooling;
6. Efforts should be made to avoid large horizontal surfaces inside cast steel parts;
7. There should be several connecting columns for large interlayer cavities such as water and gas circuits in cast steel parts.
3、 To ensure good formability of cast steel parts, the minimum wall thickness of the cast steel parts should not be lower than the allowable value.
