By relying on a vacuum pump to extract air from inside the mold, a pressure difference is created between the inside and outside of the mold box, causing the dry sand to compact and form the required mold cavity. Its biggest advantage is that the molding sand does not use binders, and the dry sand reuse rate is over 95%. It is not only energy-saving and environmentally friendly, easy to remove sand, and improves working conditions, but also greatly improves the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of castings.
Compared with wet casting, V-casting has higher surface hardness, longer dry sand insulation time, and smaller casting shrinkage.
